Learning Analytics Within The University Of Twente, First Practical Steps

Learning Analytics (LA), when used correctly, is an important tool in the educational field. A great deal of research is being conducted into the impact and usefulness of Learning Analytics within education. At the moment, however, there is still little practical experience with LA in the Netherlands. It is therefore difficult to form a picture of what exactly can be done with LA and, above all, what its influence is on the student's learning process.

The University of Twente is experimenting with LA in their education. Students want to see how they perform compared to their fellow students during their education. It is about generating insights so that students know whether they are performing below, at or above level during the study process.

In this session we take you on a journey of the first practical steps that the University of Twente has taken in experimenting and learning about Learning Analytics and the possibility in this field of expertise.

We also take a look on the LA possibilities of our current Learning Ecosystem."
