The innovation consists of taking advantage of the benefits of learning analytics to improve academic performance through a web dashboard developed in Google Data Studio and fed with Canvas LMS data (grades, participations, hours, analytics, etc). The dashboard shows in a personalized way to each student their performance in a subject through personal metrics, group trends and prediction of their final grade based on their historical performance. Design and implementation of digital badges in Canvas as engagement strategies for students in the contents of the Conscious Leadership in Business Professional course. The student can earn a maximum of five badges throughout the semester and correspond to the five modules of the course. The badges were named as: Beginner, Analyst, Senior, Consultant and Expert and they can acquire them based on their performance in the course, if in the module activities they have an average equal or higher than 85.

With the help of the Canvas platform, a personalized learning scheme was designed to impact the quality of the educational experience of the Model United Nations at PrepaTec in Irapuato. With a gamified experience that covered curated and self-assessed content with tools integrated in Canvas, 150 students were motivated to improve their mastery of the essential skills and knowledge for this high-value activity for their experience, resulting in a simulation and debate of remarkable quality. An accessible, competitive and gamified virtual environment was generated.

This paper reports an experience of statistical analysis of information derived from the New Analytics of Canvas LMS® in a sample of groups of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Region. This descriptive statistical analysis shows the usefulness of the analytics at different levels (teacher, course, department, school), quantitatively evaluating the course designs in the platform for continuous academic improvement. The analysis also explores student performance within the platform (participations, deliveries, final grade), as well as the use of digital elements (views) within the course design in Canvas.
